You have the
right to a fair and honest secret ballot election
for union representation. This right is protected by
the National Labor Relations Board, the agency of
the United States Government, which protects many
important workers' rights as guaranteed by the
National Labor Relations Act.
Under
Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act,
workers have the right to:
-
Self-organize
- Form,
join, or assist labor organizations
- Bargain
collectively through representation of their own
choosing
- Act
together for the purposes of collective
bargaining or other mutual aid or protection
- Refuse
to do any or all these things unless the Union
and Employer, in a state where such agreements
are permitted, enter into a lawful
union-security clause requiring employees to
join the Union.
The right to union representation is a choice for
the workers to make,
not store management, corporate officials or
pharmacists.
You too can say "YES" to the benefits and
security of a union contract
