An action was called for participants of the UFCW 876 Steward Day held at the union hall on Tuesday, October 13 to support CVS workers right to a free choice. CVS workers in the Metro Detroit area expressed an interest in earning better wages and benefits and gaining a voice at work by joining UFCW 876, with management responding by interrogating, threatening and manipulating workers.

A UFCW Contract Provides Security.

In Redford Township, Michigan, workers at CVS # 8151, have petitioned for Union representation. Thousands of workers in the retail drug industry are currently enjoying the numerous advantages and protections of belonging to the United Food & Commercial Workers Local and being covered by a UFCW-negotiated contract.
