About Carmen...

Carmen began her career at Farmer Jack as a deli clerk, and in time was promoted to deli head manager.

During this time, Carmen served on 876's Executive Board, and was frequently "pulled" from her job to work with 876 as a SPUR , or Special Project Union Representative, to assist with organizing drives.

After Farmer Jack closed in 2007, she worked for Kroger as a deli manager, then moved again to Hollywood Supermarket before joining 876's staff in 2008.

Carmen continues her work as a labor activist by participating in political rallys, Lobby Day, Wake Up WalMart, and just recently completed the Labor Studies program at WSU.
